Digging For Britain

Series 6 / 4 x 60 / presented by Prof Alice Roberts

Everyone’s favourite archaeology show Digging for Britain returns to BBC4 for a sixth series.  Presenter Alice Roberts once again brings the best in British archaeology in 2017 to the screen.  The archaeological action is filmed by the teams at live digs with the most intriguing finds brought back to the Digging for Britain studio for analysis with experts.

In this series we will see a camp from which the Vikings invaded, evidence that people lived inside our famous Henge monuments, Britain’s oldest Iron Age gold and the first evidence of Caesar in Britain.  In our special Alice sets off across Hadrian’s Wall revealing the forgotten story of the Roman Cavalry.
